Why did we decide to wait a few weeks before posting our New Year’s Resolution advice? Simple, it’s well documented that over 90% of resolutions fail before February 1st. So, by posting our commentary a few days before the end of the month, we thought we might be able to reinvigorate those who are wavering on their New Year’s commitment.
The majority of resolutions tend to revolve around weight loss, fitness, quit smoking or maybe saving money. The one thing all of these resolutions have in common is that they are all long-term or life altering commitments. That’s good, right? Sure it is and, if you are patient and disciplined, you will eventually see the fruits of your labor.
However, as a society, are we patient? The short answer is “NO.” We want immediate gratification, right?
We make resolutions that primarily center on feeling better about ourselves and how others view us. Let’s stick with that basic premise and get that immediate gratification we all crave. By maintaining and grooming our eyebrows, nose hair, ear hair, and fingernails we immediately take charge of how people will view us and (depending on the circumstance) will change first impressions.
Something we frequently hear from women is how cleanliness is next to godliness. Of course we want you to continue working out and looking good, but in the meantime build momentum by seriously taking charge of your personal grooming and invest in good quality tweezers, nose hair trimmer/safety scissors, and nail cutters.
A good set of men’s grooming tools is a small investment to make when you consider they will last a lifetime. The change they make, both how you see yourself and how others view you, pays out huge dividends in returns.
Happy New Year 2016!!!
